Welcome to Aloha Friday on Kristie's List!
Aloha Friday, hosted by An Island Life, is a day where we take it easy and look forward to the weekend!
I ask a simple question, you answer.
Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and add your link here. Don’t forget to visit the other participants!
So here is my question for the week:
Have you ever looked into your family history?
My answer: Yes, I have! I knew a little from older living relatives, but with Ancestry.com, I was able to find all kinds of original documents like old census forms and a TON more!
Truly amazing, and really addicting - I've lost hours and hours doing this kind of research.

No i haven't but I'd love to know more about that.. i think i have pretty interesting ancestors from what I've heard :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday and here's my Aloha!
No, but my moms father did a few years back and sent everyone copies. We learned a lot!
ReplyDeleteI have - especially since I was intrigued by one of our family members working on an actual Family Tree. It can be quite time consuming and addicting! :)
ReplyDeleteAloha Friday Follow: Bread Storage
Yes, I attended a ancestry reunion for my Fathers side, Learn an awful lot. then a few years back I met a long lost family member on my Mothers side. I have not tried ancestry.com/ Have you watch the show.Who do you think your are. That is a great show.
ReplyDeleteHere's your link to my Aloha Friday Post.
I did think about it when I was younger, but never really got that far. I've never met my birth father so am a bit scared about discovering a whole new family who possibly don't even realise I exist!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby has been doing a lot of research about our families with Ancestry.com lately.
ReplyDeleteI've thought about it....I loved that TV show.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Not yet. My aunt did a few years back. I would ask her what she collected on our side. I don't need another addiction (twitter, blogs, tv...) right now. Lol.
ReplyDeleteFor the past year a half I've been playing on Ancestry.com. It was right around the time my grandfather got sick, and I felt the need to start righting everything down. Now my husband wants to me to work on his side too.
ReplyDeleteWhen my Mom passed away in April of 2006, a month later so did my step-dad, and then my MIL did in December of the same year. The following year my oldest uncle & his wife past also. My daughter asked me to make a family tree, so we wouldn't forget who was who. I too did a ancestry.com, and asked all my cousins to help. We have a really big tree I'll tell ya. My grandparents come from Palermo, Sicily and those Italians just keep on multiplying. lol
ReplyDeleteyes. Our family history has been traced back to the Revolutionary Times.
ReplyDeleteI've not done that. At first I didn't even know my mother...parents. I've now met my mother and based on how things are, it would be hard to learn anything about my history since I never grew up with family. So for now I can only learn what i can from my mother.
ReplyDeleteP.s Thanks for visiting with me and following. I'm your newest follower too!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the weekend!
