Review: New L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum and Double Extend mascara

Recently, I received the opportunity to try some new L'Oreal Paris products FREE through BzzAgent.
(See my post here if you're interested in becoming a BzzAgent!)

The two products I received to try were L'Oreal Paris concentrated Lash Boosting Serum and L'Oreal Paris Double Extend with Last Boosting Serum
.

The serum promises to deliver fortified, nourished and strengthened lashes with daily use. The mascara promises longer, thicker, fuller lashes. Apply the serum to bare lashes, at night, and during the day under your mascara.

Well I have been testing these products for about a month now and the results are in!
Do they deliver? YES!

Before using the L'Oreal Lash serum, my lashes were very short and brittle. I noticed a difference in the first few days of use! My lashes already seemed longer and fuller. I also noticed less lashes falling out.

Generally I don't wear mascara every day, so I didn't use the Double Extend mascara every single day. But, on the days that I did apply it, I definitely noticed longer looking lashes! That is almost always the case when you use a primer though, which is included.

I was most impressed with the how my lashes look now, even when I haven't applied the serum or mascara. Here's a before and after picture. My lashes are completely bare in both photos.
Since they have you applying 3 separate coats (serum, primer and mascara), it seemed to clump fairly easily. Allow the serum to dry before using the mascara and apply a light coat of the primer so you don't have to use as much mascara to cover it up and you should be good. Other than that, these are two great products!

These products are ophthalmologist and allergy-tested, and are safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers!

You can find the new L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum and Double Extend mascara with Lash Boosting Serum in the cosmetics section of major retailers such as Walgreens, Target, CVS, Wal-mart, etc. The serum sells for around $14.99. and the mascara for about $12.99.

Visit
L'Oreal Paris to learn more!

UPDATE: As of today, 2/9, there is a printable coupon for $2 off these products!
Go here to print yours!

*I received these two products free, to try and review courtesy of BzzAgent. I received no monetary compensation for this review and all the opinions are my own.

Possible future freebies!

Join these panels for possible future freebies, most likely in exchange for simple feedback on the products. I haven't received anything yet, but I feel pretty confident about these programs, so that's why I'm sharing! These are the type of programs you have to sign up for now, and when they have something that is relevant to you, they will let you know!

Allure Experts: From Allure magazine, "Allure Experts are beauty and style insiders like you- passionate, intelligent, and opinionated. Be a part of our exclusive and thriving online community. Share your expertise and ideas- and we'll make them count!
Plus, enter for a chance to win prizes for every survey you complete, and try products before they hit the shelves."

VOGUE Insiders: As a vogue insider you will have a chance to test products before they hit shelves, preview new fashion collections, experience member-only events, and make your voice heard in VOGUE.

L'Oreal Product testing panel: Fill out a very short survey for a chance to participate in product studies. UPDATE: I just received an email from them to fill out some questionnaires, and it's turns out you can also opt to do on-site testing if you are willing to go to their location in Chicago (sounds like fun to me!)

People VIP: Tell them your opinion on celebrities, style, shopping, advertising and much more. Each time you fill out a survey, you are entered in to a sweepstakes. I also hear they often send emails where the first number of people who click through will receive a free product!

Thanks,
Freebie blogger!

Voice your opinion AND try new products FREE!

These are some of great sites to sign up with for the possibility of scoring some really awesome freebies, while getting to try new products and giving your feedback on them. I consider these few "tried and true" because I have participated in the sites for a few months now, received a few things from them and happily returned to their websites to provide my feedback.

Bzzagent – This site is to a “word of mouth” marketing program, where people discuss products, websites, brands, etc. Sign up and complete a few short surveys so they know what group you fall into. Then contribute to a few products' pages (comments, links, photos, etc.) and you can be invited to participate in BzzCampaigns. For BzzCampaigns, they usually send out a product for you to test and review on their site.

So far, I’ve been invited to one campaign. I got to try the new L’oreal lash boosting serum and Double extend mascara with Lash boosting serum, for FREE!
[Note: I am testing these products for four weeks and will be posting me review on here soon so stay tuned!]

Vocalpoint – Website for moms and consumers in general, with message boards, tips, recipes, etc. They also send out free things from time to time as part of their “Try and Tells.” They send you a product, coupons for free products, high value coupons, or other little goodies. Then you come back to the site and talk about the products.

So far, from them I’ve received Olay Pro-X face cream and Secret clinical strength deodorant, and they also did the new Bounce Dryer bars just before I signed up.

SheSpeaks – Website for female consumers to “speak their minds” about products (very similar to Vocalpoint). Sign up and when they have a “study” for you to join, they will email you to let you know.

So far from them, I’ve received Ghirardelli chocolate with peanut butter squares. How cool is that?? Afterward, they asked me to come back to their website and take a short survey about the chocolate. Very simple and totally worth it.

House Party - This is a community where people are connected through parties, all thrown at the same time, centered around a certain product or event. Sign up and apply to be a party host, and if you are selected they usually send a "party pack" with all the goodies you'll need to throw an awesome party!

So far, I've hosted one party. It was called "Fun, fit and Guilt free House party" and it was to promote Your Shape with Jenny McCarthy and Jell-o Mousse whips. I received coupons for free Jell-o Mousse whips to serve at my party, two Nintendo Wii games to try and KEEP, and coupons and headbands for the guests. Pretty cool huh?
